Amidst the rush of modernity,
In our haste to build and expand,
We’ve overlooked the wisdom of wetlands,
With their vital, life-sustaining gifts.

Oh, without these precious wetlands,
We’ve diminished their ability,
To filter toxins from the water,
Absorb floodwaters, mitigate drought,
Nurture plants and wildlife

Oh, without these precious wetlands,
As we push for human progress,
We’ve neglected the wetlands’ worth:

Oh, without these precious wetlands,
The delicate balance of nature,
The security of our future,
Could be altered irreparably.

And so, we must take heed,
Protecting our wetlands for all time,
For without their sheltering embrace,
