November 14, 2025, Manica Youth Assembly partnered with Burning Vision Secondary School to host a day of empowerment and environmental action. The event brought together students, community members, and activists to take concrete steps towards a greener future and a more equitable society. Planting Seeds for a Greener TomorrowTwenty trees were planted within the school premises, with the learners taking ownership of nurturing them. This hands-on approach aims to instill environmental stewardship and a sense of responsibility among the students, fostering a culture of sustainability that will last a lifetime.
Breaking Barriers:
Menstrual Health and Gender JusticeAs part of our commitment to Gender Justice, we donated sanitary pads to all the girls at the school and conducted a session on menstrual health, hygiene, and environmentally friendly disposal of sanitary waste. The discussion also focused on girls’ rights, highlighting the dangers of child marriages and the importance of bodily autonomy. The girls shared valuable insights, recommending that local authorities install community incinerators for safe and sustainable disposal of sanitary wear. This initiative would not only protect health but also contribute to a healthier environment.

A Collective Effort Towards a Brighter FutureThis event marked a significant step towards building a more equitable community for girls and young people, while promoting environmental sustainability. We are proud to have taken this journey with Burning Vision Secondary School and look forward to continuing this work together.Join us in growing a healthier planet and a more just society!
